“I’m Sorry!”

Feminist Philosophers

The research reported in a post below concludes that women are disproportionately made to feel guilty for any lapses in caring behavior.  If that’s true, one might expect to see (some/many) women as very prone to apologize a great deal, even for things only vaguely connected to them, to feel bad when they are especially assertive, and even to offer care-taking when it is hardly appropriately.

The skit by the comedian Amy Schumer linked to below captures such behavior.  Can you relate?

Dealing with distance is very difficult; extremely difficult.
So.so.so.so difficult…

Lets look at it this way..

Not getting to see the person you want to see the most in this world for days, weeks, months or perhaps years(years dier, i go die that oo) 😫😫😫💔💔

It will be very heartbreaking; i’m sure.
But then again, i feel as though they have a certain Je ne sais quoi.I just can’t place my finger on it.
Let me explain..

So, there are these 2 people who have a very strong attraction towards each other; overflowing affection for each other too that these two people are willing to do anything; absolutely anything in the world to be termed *together.(really inspiring)

Thanks to Imo,LINE,Skype,Viber, whatsapp and the newly introduced whatsapp calls(☺️🙌🏻😁)

That they are willing to have a relationship despite the thousands of miles put in between them by nature God(two thoozin’s voice) 😊🙌🏻

DUM THE TALKS AND SOR THE ACTIONS

imagesS3TR5JM8

Before we go ranting and running our mouth about the current power issue can we pause and ask ourselves this question, is it worth it? Should we be holding rallies and demonstrations about this worm that has now become a butterfly due to the negligence and shallow thinking of previous and current head of state?

Since Dr Kwame Nkrumah built the Akosombo Dam, we have had not less than four heads of states and none of them saw the need to expand it neither did they foresaw what we are facing today. They are not to be blamed and I know many will skin me alive if they have the chance.

I will provide 500 KVIP’s yaaaayyy!!!!!!!!!…. I will construct streets in your village yaaaayyy!!!!…….. I will make your village the district in the metropolitan and more were what they promised and if you ask me they did deliver. They never promised you constant and uninterrupted power supply. So on whose words are you holding them on?

What we are going through now is just a display of misplaced priority on the part of the citizens and the authorities. This cancer has become a house hold problem since the Kuffour’s regime but we are feeling the heat more cause increase in demand for power. Ghana is a fast growing nation with a lot of investors coming in each now and then. We are feeling it more because we now more than ever need constant power for the numerous industries and the raise in entrepreneurship.

Every election year they come and promise us less relevant things. Our politicians don’t give us policies but rather propaganda and back biting and we the voters are fooled by this nonsense.

Before you start apportioning blame look into your inner self and tell me the reason you had for voting for a particular party. 90% of us voted on tribal bases and the rest cause we know or he/she is a family of a friend. If we really listened to our politician very well you will agree me that none of them truly deserve our votes.

Can we please stop the blame game and together find a solution to the economy’s cancer of our era. Yes our talks will awaken the authorities but do they have a solution? You might have a better way to end this, so I will encourage forums and discussions that will brainstorm to find solution to our woes.

The IMF bailout, corruption, Illicit drug Trafficking and the fall of the Cedis is an equally important aspect of the economy that needs to be addressed also but our focus is on the power crises so much that we are blind to this issues. In our quest to solving this power issue I think other aspects of the economy should also be equally attended to else we will be sinking to an economic crunch.

Professor accused of racism for talking about race on twitter

where is freedom of speech

Feminist Philosophers

Incoming Boston University professor Saida Grundy is being publicly accused of racism over remarks she made about race on Twitter (remarks her university is now saying were ‘offensive’ though still part of her protected free speech.) Prof. Grundy – who is Black – made a sarcastic comment on Twitter about it being time we admit that white college males are a ‘problem population’ due to their tendency to riot about sports (in response to the repeated claims, in the coverage of recent events in Baltimore, that young black men are a ‘problem population’). She also mentioned that every MLK day she tries to spend money only in black-owned businesses, and finds this nearly impossible. For these kinds of remarks – which Fox News has gleefully gotten wind of – she’s being accused of racism and bigotry and her qualifications to be a university professor are being called into question. Made in Ghana

The saying “If you don’t know where you from you don’t know where you are going”. It’s often used to encourage us to learn and keep our traditions and national values. Similarly we communicate a lot to the world through our cloths, language, food and music among many others.

If we don’t believe and use our own products who will? With the right joy and enthusiasm towards buying made in Ghana goods the foreigner will see the essence in doing so too. Patronage of “made in Ghana goods” will not only tell of our origin but also have a lot of benefits to it.

One of such benefits is the creation of jobs, right from the raw material stage to the finishing stage of production. when there is an increase in demand of goods made in Ghana here it’s going to call for increased in supply thereby creating the need for employing more hands to meet demand

Foreign exchange earnings is also another benefit that is driven from patronage of made in Ghana goods. Exportation of these indigenous products to the western world and beyond is an incoming generation for the country at large.

Patronages of made in Ghana goods will help reduce poverty rate in Ghana. So with the patronage of their product, we are indirectly contributing to their business financially.

Stories, folk tales and myths’ of our great nation are all inculcated into the production of products such as bags, sculptures, cloth etc. through the purchasing of made in Ghana goods we are inviting people all across the world to our homes and lives to learn about our way of doing things.

Sankor fa yen kyi” as our elders said. It’s never too late going back to our roots, let’s eat our fufu and banku, wear our local prints and speak our local dialects only because no one else define us better than ourselves.

My mum always says “Adzi wofieaa oye”, at first I thought she was being selfish but as I grow up I have come understand her better, and all she was trying to say is we all also deserve good things. Let’s rally behind our Ghanaian entrepreneurs by buying made in Ghana good sand together will help build a better Ghana.

PERSON AT THE WINDOW

Outburst of relief flashes my eyes to open

The nightmare of the day has knocked on my door again

And the tap poles in my testicles jump in excitement

As each string of muscle contracts to hold me back

I slide out of my bed with horror on my face

As I squelch to the far corner of my bed

And quickly collected myself into a ball

Hopelessly I waited on thee

I moved swiftly to her but I was at the same place

I shouted her name in silence

And I enjoyed her arms around me not but in my brains

I longed for her touch less touch

I pray she moves to me since I can’t

I pray she holds me till my bones cracks open

I pray she kisses me till am cold as ice

I pray she won’t leave again

I felt her touch

I felt her kiss

I felt her voice as she called me

Life is a series of pictures
What it likes it gives you and that is natures
Survival of the fittest is the law for all creatures
At the end you must get the greener pastures

Life is not a race
Take is pace by pace
On the walls of life your name you must paste
Courage and determination your life you must lace

Life is always in motion
Never stop always take action
Trouble is the sign that will make you change direction
Always do this with caution

MIrrOR

You are my greatest companion
With you each day and night is a reunion
Living without you, is like the sky without it’s blue
I pour my heart to you in all sentiments
For this i do without holding back any piece of evidence
I ran to you in the era of our fathers
And i walk to you in the generation of our youngsters
And surely will i crawl to you in the end of this journey
Because with you consultation does not cause a penny

The truth lies deep in your eyes
For you see the smiles behind my tears
And you never play with my emotions
Nor will you dramatize your affections
To you i can tell all my tales and intentions
Without any refrain or devilish conditions
I need not beg for answers
Because they will appear naturally like flowers
My me,myself and my whole being lies in you there
Because you have been my dearest ear

Love is a necessity
If you don’t have one then it’s a pity
People run away from it in the name of chastity
But the real deal is scarcity

Real love grows within
And it’s nourished by the air we breathe
On laps of patience it is anchored
And the pole of hope it is coiled

Do you need a love portion?
Or God’s heavenly intervention?
Is it a quest in a cave?
And which directions should you have?

You will have to search the rocks
And break the chest locks
For it takes a great deal to find a jewel
But it takes a great skill to tell if it’s real

For the determinant of real love varies
Just like the content and size of diaries
My road to love is in my north
But yours may be lying in your throat
